About this event

Students will turn a bowl from a green piece of wood with a severe undercut rim. Elizabeth will cover going from a log to a bowl, how to anticipate wood movement, and mounting the blank to maximize the appearance of wood movement. This is a great introduction to hollowing tools and will showcase the importance of using sharp tools to achieve a nice surface.

Workshop Tools needed:
3/8" or 1/2" bowl gouge
1/4" spindle gouge
1/2" Swan neck hollowing tool
Round nose scraper
Faceshield

The club with provide the bowl blanks and have our standard tool kits with basic tools available.
