Our club is dedicated to giving back to our Puget Sound community by providing free demonstrations, donating finished woodturning items, and participating in charitable events.

Empty Bowls

The Seattle Woodturners club participates in the following charitable events:
- Bellevue Arts Museum, KIDSfair Each year club members demonstrate woodturning to families, where spinning tops are turned, colored, and donated to kids.
- The Empty Bowls Project Members donate wood bowls to this cause, in an effort to raise money to end hunger in the Seattle area.
- Beads of Courage Program Members donate wood-turned bead boxes to support the this program, which is designed to support and strengthen children and families in the Puget Sound Area who are coping with serious illness. Learn about the guidelines for making bead bowls and boxes.
