About this event
This single day class introduces the art of turning a decorative lighthouse on the lathe, blending creativity with practical skills. We will review lathe safety, tool selection, and fundamentals of spindle turning. Additionally, methods of layout planning and proportional scaling will be examined along with turning the detailing elements of windows and railings.
We will begin with a spindle turning exercise and by the end of the class participants will have created a charming lighthouse and possess newfound confidence in their turning abilities. Prior lathe experience is preferred, but anyone with a willingness to learn and experiment is welcome!
